Kathryn's creativity began as a young child even before she knew how to sew. Scissors, scraps of fabric and glue were used to "design" doll clothes, cardboard boxes became dollhouses with handmade wallpaper, curtains and furniture. She joined the 4-H club, at age 10 and stayed through high school. That is where she learned to sew, and determined her career choices. An Education degree in Home Economics was her first career, along with a side business of apparel alterations and dressmaking. There was about 16 years of an alternative career in cooperate business before coming back to her love of designing, creating and sewing. This time however was in the craft world. Being raised on a family farm using recycled fabrics and items found in nature are her preferred supplies. In fact her brothers who still run that family farm wore the denim she uses.
